Support for Care Partners

A care partner is another word for a caregiver.

They might be a family member, or a friend. You may have many care partners supporting you at any given time.

Care partners may:

  • Help a loved one during their time of need and/or through illness
  • Attend medical appointments
  • Help keep track of appointments, schedules, medicines, and many more daily tasks
  • Grocery shop or food prep
  • Offers physical and/or emotional support
  • Do not get paid to do this care work

Care partners offer their help for many reasons. The demands on care partners is usually very high. Making sure care partners are also supported is key to them successfully supporting someone else.
