You can get cancer services at all our hospitals, with WRHN Cancer Centre at WRHN @ Midtown as the hub. We also provide care at WRHN @ Queen’s Blvd. and the Waterloo Wellington Breast Centre at WRHN @ Chicopee. Together, our team leads cancer care across and beyond.
The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program (WWRCP) brings high-quality cancer care closer to home. Doctors and care teams across the region work together to plan and deliver care, with services at WRHN Cancer Centre and community hospitals. A mammogram is a low-dose X-ray that takes pictures of the breast. It can help find changes in the breast early, when treatment may work best. If you might be pregnant, talk to your doctor before you book an exam.
We use high-quality digital equipment to get clear, detailed images. Our specially trained team will guide you through the exam to help you feel more comfortable.

WRHN is proud to be a designated thoracic cancer surgery centres. If you need surgery for chest cancers, we have the tools, specialists, and experience to provide safe, high-quality care.
A designated centre is a hospital that meets specific safety and quality standards for certain types of care. This includes surgery centres for chest cancers, such as in your lungs and esophagus.

If you or a loved one may have chest cancer, our team can help you get answers faster. WRHN also hosts the region’s Thoracic Diagnostic Assessment Program (DAP), which offers tests and screening for chest cancers. A family doctor, nurse practitioner, or walk-in clinic doctor can refer you to the program if a chest x-ray or CT scan shows something unusual.
