Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN) is committed to being open, honest, and responsible in how it operates. This includes sharing information about quality of care, finances, and how decisions are made.

Operating & Strategic Plans

WRHN’s future, purpose and values guide our commitment to the communities we serve. We are now creating our first strategic plan with input from teams and community partners. The plan will be ready in spring 2026. It will guide how we grow and improve care in the years ahead.

Accessibility

WRHN follows the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act. We have a policy and a multi-year plan to make services accessible to everyone.

Quality & Safety

WRHN tracks important health indicators like infection rates and hand hygiene. It also participates in accreditation through Accreditation Canada as part of our commitment to quality, safe, patient-centred care.

Corporate Accountability

WRHN follows the Broader Public Sector Accountability Act. It posts reports about consultant use, executive expenses, and executive compensation. You can find our corporate accountability documents organized by category below.

Public Sector Salary Disclosure

As part of the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act, hospitals must share salary details for employees who earn $100,000 or more in a year. This helps support transparency and accountability.

WRHN posts this information each year. Below are links to past salary disclosures from the Ontario Treasury Board Secretariat.

The most recent list can also be found on the Ministry of Finance website.

Environmental Responsibility

WRHN reports its energy use and greenhouse gas emissions. It also has a plan to save energy and reduce its environmental impact. This plan is called an energy conservation and demand management plan. You can review these plans below.
