Welcome Kate Traianopoulos

Cliff Harvey, Vice President of Redevelopment, is retiring this fall after a career dedicated to advancing healthcare infrastructure and redevelopment. Since joining our organization in 2023, Cliff played a pivotal role in moving our redevelopment projects through critical planning stages and setting a clear, confident path forward. We are pleased to share the next step in this important transition: Kate Traianopoulos will join WRHN as Vice President, Redevelopment, effective October 5, 2026. 

Kate joined Infrastructure Ontario in 2006 and has progressed through increasingly senior roles over the course of her career, currently serving as Senior Vice President, Capital Delivery, Healthcare Implementation.  

In her role, she provides executive leadership for a multi-billion-dollar portfolio of healthcare infrastructure projects leading a multidisciplinary team working closely with provincial ministries, hospital executives, private sector partners and consultants to advance complex capital programs. Her work has included leadership of major redevelopment initiatives for Trillium Health Partners, including the new Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital, as well as project leadership roles at Joseph Brant Hospital. She holds a Diploma in Architectural Technology from Fanshawe College and a Certificate in Project Management from Toronto Metropolitan University. 

Recognized as a collaborative, pragmatic and highly credible leader, Kate brings together strong technical expertise with an ability to build trusted relationships and navigate complexity. Her extensive experience across the full lifecycle of healthcare redevelopment and understanding of both the hospital and government perspectives, will be invaluable as WRHN advances one of the most significant healthcare redevelopment programs in Ontario. 

Cliff and the Redevelopment Team will work closely with Kate to support a smooth transition and help ensure continuity across key relationships and priorities. Kate’s extensive experience and leadership roles within Infrastructure Ontario make her exceptionally well positioned to lead this work, maintain momentum and support a seamless transition for our teams, partners and community. 

We are deeply grateful to Cliff for his incredible leadership, expertise and steady guidance, and we look forward to celebrating his contributions as he prepares for retirement.
