The palliative unit is a supportive space designed with patients’ and families’ well-being in mind. Along with private and shared rooms, the unit also has a dining room, and quiet spaces that can be used by families. These spaces are here to create a positive experience for you and your loved ones and to help you feel at ease.
Our team includes doctors, nurses, social workers, spiritual care providers, recreational therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, music therapists, and volunteers. They work together to meet each person’s unique needs and may support you by:
- helping manage pain and symptoms
- offering emotional and spiritual support
- making sure care matches your values and wishes
- ensuring your journey is as comfortable as possible
