Cliff Harvey, M.Sc. (HQ), OAA, FRAIC is a recognized thought leader in hospital building design and construction in Ontario and other jurisdictions. His professional focus is on health and wellness in the built environment and how these ideas translate into an environment of care and compassion.
As vice president, redevelopment at Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), Cliff is leadings the work to build a new hospital in Waterloo and renovate and repurpose WRHN’s existing hospital sites. Previously, Cliff was a senior architect for the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care for 12 years before working at several Ontario hospitals, where he led teams overseeing multi-faceted facilities redevelopment and renovation projects. Prior to his current position at WRHN, he was the chief planning officer for Niagara Health and was responsible for the planning and construction of the South Niagara Hospital. Cliff uses his extensive knowledge of architecture, healthcare, government, and construction to successfully lead all aspects of the hospital redevelopment planning and implementation process in alignment with the Ontario government’s requirements. He has a master of science in healthcare quality and is a registered architect in the province of Ontario.
