Demetrios Kalantzis (he/him) is an award-winning human resources executive who brings over two decades of innovative leadership in healthcare human resources.
Demetrios is currently vice president, people, culture and experience at Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN). Prior to WRHN, he held this role at Grand River Hospital and St. Mary’s General Hospital, beginning in September 2024. Previously, Demetrios served as the vice president, people and chief human resources officer at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care. He has also held leadership roles at the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Halton Healthcare, and William Osler Health System/Headwaters Health Care Centre. Demetrios has a master of business administration from the Ivey Business School at Western University, an honours bachelor of arts in industrial relations and sociology from the University of Toronto, and a certificate from Queen’s University in workplace mental health leadership. He is a member of the Human Resources Professional Association and is certified as a human resources leader and a human resources professional.
