Vice President, Strategy, Communications & Public Affairs

Sarah Farwell is a senior healthcare executive and change management leader who is passionate about organizational transformation, aligning strategic priorities, and building partnerships that improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes in complex systems.
Sarah currently serves as Vice President, Strategy, Communications and Public Affairs at the Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN), where she leads the organization's Strategy, Planning and Performance Office, Strategic Communications and Public Affairs, and Decision Support and Insights. Previously, Sarah held senior leadership roles with St. Mary's General Hospital, Ontario Health, and the Waterloo Wellington Local Health Integration Network. Earlier in her career, she owned and operated a multidisciplinary health and wellness clinic, bringing valuable experience in clinical practice, entrepreneurship, and patient-centred care. A committed lifelong learner, Sarah has taught at Conestoga College and Humber College and has contributed to academic program advisory committees. She holds a Master of Health Studies from Athabasca University, a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, is Prosci-certified in Change Management, and has completed executive leadership programs at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.
